We welcomed the first of January dressed in full-on 80s style. Appropriate to pop in so retro, as the last time I posted here was January. Of 2022.
THAT WAS FOUR YEARS AGO.
Mea Culpa. But four years is maybe *not* so long when Big Life Things are happening? College, Olympics, getting to Leap Year, getting through four years?
Yeah maybe four years is a long time in that respect...
Listen. We got some catching up to do! I just don't want to do it here. Blogger's been great, we've lived rent-free here for eighteen years...but eighteen is the age of moving on out into your own home! Painting the walls! Buying a futon!
Come February 2, 2026, we're moving to a new online abode:
Handmade Harriells.
Same vibe, more space, with room for our adventures to grow. The move comes with a promise to return to sharing those adventures on the new blog--because in an ever diminishing bite-sized world, running to answer the door in the 0.25 seconds that social media *maybe* permits y'all to knock is just not enough time for me to fluff the pillows, y'know? I've missed welcoming you into our own corner of the web for a longer break, a conversation, a dose of technicolor sewing--and I want you to be welcomed warmly whenever you decide to knock!
This Monday (Groundhog's Day, what is it with me and why am I jinxing myself), when the site is live, I'll edit this post to include the new site link. In the coming months, "oonaballoona," crazy teen that she was, will redirect to Handmade Harriells. All of the content and amazing conversations we've had here will be alive and well on the new blog, no memories lost...and I look forward to making moređź’—
