i haz many thanks for you, pinky swear!!!

that right there is (was) the route i was taking for the "make it pink" round two challenge of project sewn.  she has since been dismantled for greener pastures, as i loathed her.  the solid pink taffeta mocked me until i just had ENOUGH.  BEGONE SASSY SOLID!  i am 1/4 of the way through my next brand-new try, which is really smart considering it's pilot season and i have auditions and work and parties and miss pink is due by sunday.

SPEAKING OF ROUND TWO.  thank you for sending me to the next round! and holy cow for voting me to the top of this first round!!!  i am sincerely floored, especially considering the company i'm honored to be in.  i'm also sincerely bummed that one of us has to go, which means i have three weeks of bummers ahead, any of which could be self bumming.  right now i'm bumming about my very favorite, very fabulous girl lladybird, whose painted-on-pants and embroidered-pearl-snap-button-down are dolly parton delicious.  you rock, llady.

  1. Greener pastures. Ha. I had to laugh at that one. You know, considering it's a pink challenge.

It's Friday and my brain is fried, so please excuse my amusement over simple matters.

    1. I agree with all of this. That was a massively competitive first round!! Everyone came out swinging!

And I would love to see you on TV regularly! (And by regularly, I mean wait until at least three seasons are streaming on Netflix before I start to watch ;D)

    2. i will gladly take these orders. the amount of one season (or no frigging season) shows i've been in must be rectified.

  3. Clearly, I have retained my grade school sense of humour. Every *bum* had me giggling. Congrats on the win...you most definitely are worthy of the coveted first place spot!

And a kindred spirit, if ever there was one. I understand that Project Sewn competitors have *lots* of time to make their garments, so knowing you are in the midst of pink at this moment is a comfort to me. I mean really, why do something in advance, if it can be done at the last minute? In our defense, a little pressure heightens creative genius. Made that up, but I'm running with it.

    1. hahahaha! i think your defense is perfect. i had every intention of working ahead of time, but i get bored quickly...

  6. Bummer that you loathe this dress, because it looks like it was fixin' to be awesome. But, sometimes things just don't look the way we want or see in our heads and then they must go! Will be interested to see what replaces her! :-)

  18. I just loved every bit of your entry, from the cul de sac inspiration to the final result. Every last wisp of leg warmer. But I'm sitting out pilot season this year, and I'm sitting out voting to. I just know how harsh they can both be, and I want everyone to get picked up!

He was dying to know where the coat fabric came from. ;) Can't wait to see what you bring in round pink!
