(edit: i haz confused the issue.  by mr and mrs kalkatroona, i mean my folks.  tee hee, tra la.  happy anniversary, mom 'n dad!)

  1. Delicious! I think I'll head home and mix one up now ;)

  2. Nom, nom.

I recently realized the worst thing about the new word-verifications. It's almost impossible to play the word-verification definition game! Then I cried. But I will give it a try.

    1. truly it is the worst thing about it. hey, do you have to WV to comment here? i thought i turned them off (they drive me CRAZY.)

  3. That sounds very good to me, I'm a fan of cherries.

  4. Happy anniversary! Sounds delish, now I know what to do with the rest of the burbon... :D

  5. Ooh this sounds good! Cheers to you two!

  6. Cheers to you and to me because it's our anniversary too. However, we had a glass of German white wine.

  7. Oh, happy, happy felicitations to them! And to y'all.

  8. Thank you, Oona. We had a wonderful 41st anniversary. While walking our two wonderful dogs we were called "a$$holes" by a stranger in the park, who on our second encounter told us to go "F" ourselves -- in full version. Who could ask for more?

Your phone message was more. Ruggies punch line to you rendition of happy anniversary was the piece de resistance!

We are now having a sleep over with two insane kalkatroonan grandsons, a self inflicted wound, which we self inflicted with the now obviously mistaken goal of giving the kalkatroonan brother and daugher-in-law a break with their angel of a new girl sibling.

    Pray for us.

    The unwitting grandparents

  9. Thanks to everyone for any and all happy anniversary wishes as well!

  10. Okay, we are celebrating in the flyover, celebrating that the Kalkatroonas got together and gave us Oona,
Also, it's the beginning of the weekend !

We whip an egg white in a blender
    beat in 3tsp. sugar
    1/4 cup gin
a bit less than 1/4 cup Pernod
    1/2 lemon juiced
a bunch of ice cubes made from green tea.

mmmm, but my top-stiching might get a bit wonky now.

P.S. I thought all week about what the artist formerly known as Prince might be doing stuck to a sign in L.A. and not in his hometown MPLS and have no clever response. Maybe I need one of Ruggy's mixtures.

i thankya truly for taking the time to comment, i love a good conversation-- and hope you know my thanks are always implied, if not always written!
